The SSC JHT Recruitment 2024 will fill several Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts, including Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translator. The application submission process for this recruitment will be completed online through the official portal of SSC at ssc.gov.in.
Candidates who are interested in this recruitment drive can submit their application from 02 August to 25 August 2024. The applications submitted after the last date will not be accepted at any condition.

Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the SSC JHT Recruitment 2024, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Junior Translation Officer:
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
- OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
- OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level.
- OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
- OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level.
- AND Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

Senior Hindi Translator and Senior Translator:
- Same qualifications as above with an additional three years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
SSC JHT Recruitment Age Limit
The age limit for candidates applying for the SSC JHT Recruitment 2024 is 18 to 30 years as of 01.08.2024. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwD (OBC): 13 years
- PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date for receipt of application.
SSC Junior Hindi Translator Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for SSC JHT Recruitment 2024 involves two stages:

Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination):
- Objective-type questions on General Hindi and General English.
- A total of 100 questions for each subject, carrying 1 mark each.
- Duration: 2 hours.

Paper-II (Descriptive Test):
- Translation and essay writing.
- Total of 200 marks.
- Duration: 2 hours.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in Paper I to appear in Paper II. The final selection will be based on the combined performance of both papers.

- General and OBC candidates: Rs 100/-
- Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates: Exempted from fee payment.
Fees can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit cards.
