Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Additionally, they must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or possess a Ph.D. degree under UGC regulations.
Age Limit
Candidates should be between 21 and 42 years of age as of July 15, 2024. However, there is an age relaxation of 5 years for candidates of all categories, making the upper age limit 52 years for certain eligible candidates.
Selection Process
The selection process for the HPSC Assistant Professor recruitment consists of three stages. The first stage is the Screening Test, which is conducted if the number of applicants is significantly high. This test includes 100 multiple-choice questions, lasts for 2 hours, and has negative markings for incorrect answers. Candidates who score at least 25% will be shortlisted for the next stage.
